Overheating & Fan Problems

Overheating problems are generally caused by either a failure of one of the case fans or an accumulation of dust blocking the heatsink. Fan replacement is a straightforward matter as is removal of dust from the interior of the laptop. It is advisable not to continue using a machine that is running hot as although most machines will shutdown before serious damage occurs not all will and you risk burning out the processor or systemboard.

Broken Case or Hinges

Customers with broken laptop cases or hinges are one of the most common problems we deal with. It is often worth checking the manufacturer's website to see if your particular model has a known fault and arranging a warranty repair as this is often the cheapest opiton.
