No Display On Screen

Is power getting to the laptop? See power problems to eliminate those first. Assuming power is reaching the machine then typical problems affecting display are:

• Unusual colours
• Strange alphanumeric characters
• Blank screen
• Flickering screen
• Lines on screen
• White screen

Without seeing the machine it is difficult to diagnose individual problems but the solution will vary from rectifying a loose connection to replacement of the screen. However, whatever the problem we will have seen it before and can provide a fix.

Dim or Very Faint Display

Most likely a fault with the circuitry dealing with illumination which can either be a systemboard fault, a problem with the inverter or the screen backlight . None of these need be a particulalrly expensive option..

Cracked Screen - Replacement Needed..

If the screen is cracked or is not repairable then the good news is that replacement screens are much cheaper than in the past. It's true that some manufacturers products tend to be much more expensive than others but in these cases it is often possible to supply a refurbished screen from our large stock.
